What will you experience

Practice

Using traditional tools

Calligraphy is done using wooden or reed pens. All my pens are from Istanbul so they are the best quality you can get.
Practice

Working with ink

We'll use Chinese ink for practice. You get familiar with working with ink and using an ink vial.
Practice

Well-thought out workbook

I make all my workbooks so I'm able to go into detail to make it as easy as possible to follow.
Practice

You will be guided through

We'll work through the material together as a class. I'll explain each section and demonstrate to the students.

The Trainline

On Wednesday 24th April The Trainline hosted Arabic Calligraphy workshops across their UK & European offices, as a belated celebration of Eid Al-Fitr. I was invited to the Edinburgh office to deliver a 2 hour introduction to calligraphy, where I took students through the Arabic letters in Thuluth, and taught them how to write their names.

Thankyou to the @trainline and Deena Shahrabani for inviting me to be apart of this very fun and memorable event.
